    Born 1 June 1854, Vestergotland, Sweden. Entered U. S. at New York 29 June 1876. With Moline Cabinet Organ Co., Moline, Illinois, 1883; joined Bergstrom Pipe Organ Co.* of Oakland, California, 1887; with Moline Pipe Organ Co. beginning June, 1888, for 32 years. Died 30 January 1941.

    *There is no Bergstrom Pipe Organ Co. in the Database Builders Listing. There is a John Bergstrom firm which became John Bergstrom & Sons located in San Francisco during this time period. -Ed.
