    Frank Antoine Meyer was born 9 April 1858 in Alsace-Lorraine, France. He apprenticed with Martin Rinckenbach Organ Co. of Alsace, starting at age 16; he was then with the Walcker firm of Germany prior to immigrating to the U.S., circa 1880. His first American position was with the Carl Barckhoff firm of Salem, Ohio. He was then with the Wirsching firm of Salem, from about 1909, as a pipemaker, and foreman, in Alliance, OH. His final position was with the W. W. Kimball firm of Chicago, IL, starting in 1912; he retired as head of the metal pipe department in 1929. Meyer died 27 May 1938.
