Technical Details

Electro-pneumatic (EP) unit chests.

Two manuals. 1 divisions. 5 stops. 31 registers. 5 ranks. 353 pipes. Manual compass is 61 notes. Pedal compass is 32 notes.

The organ is in chambers to the sides at the front of the room. There are no visible pipes. Traditional style console with roll top. The console is in a fixed position, right.

Stop keys above top manual. Balanced swell shoes/pedals, standard AGO placement. Combination Action: Computerized/Digital system. AGO Standard (concave radiating) pedalboard. Crescendo Pedal. Combination action thumb pistons. Combination action toe studs. Coupler reversible thumb pistons. Coupler reversible toe studs.


  • Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- This is a unit organ. The pipes are in a single chamber on the left side of the chancel. As originally built, the organ had no combination action. Balcom and Vaughan added a Lucas system in 1979 as their opus 629-A. Some of the smaller pipes are played by electro-mechanical action.     This organ is installed in a chamber on the front, left side of the church behind an
    arch that separates the sanctuary from the chancel. The only chamber opening is into
    the chancel, so tonal egress into the sanctuary is poor and reflective only.
    As originally built, there were no pistons or toe studs. The Lucas combination action
    was added in 1979. A set of Maas amplified chimes is playable from its own keyboard.
