Slider chests. Electric key action. Electric stop action.

Three manuals. 4 divisions. 46 stops. 68 registers. 65 ranks. Manual compass is 61 notes. Pedal compass is 32 notes.

The organ is in a gallery at the rear of the room and some pipes are exposed. Non-traditional style console. The console is in a fixed position, center.

Tilting/rocking tablets above top manual. Balanced swell shoes/pedals, standard AGO placement. AGO Standard (concave radiating) pedalboard. Crescendo Pedal. Reversible full organ/tutti thumb piston. Reversible full organ/tutti toe stud. Combination action thumb pistons. Combination action toe studs. Coupler reversible thumb pistons.


  • Updated through online information from Douglas W. Craw. -- This instrument was originally built by Schlicker and installed in First-Plymouth Congregational Church, Lincoln, Nebraska. It was moved to St. James in 1997 and was installed and rebuilt by Mann & Trupiano organ builders of Brooklyn, New York -- who also built a new console. Most of the chests and pipework are by Heissler Orgeln of Germany with the Goettler Trumpet by M. P. Möller, Inc. Tonal finishing of the reeds by Gilbert Adams of Monroe, North Carolina. The inaugural recital was played by Helen VanAbbema on January 16, 1998. (Database Manager. August 25, 2007)
