Technical Details

Slider chests. Mechanical key action. Mechanical stop action.

Two manuals. 16 ranks.

The organ is in a case at the front of the room. Traditional style console with a keyboard cover that can be lifted to form a music rack. The organ has an attached keydesk.

Drawknobs in horizontal rows on terraced/stepped jambs. Balanced swell shoes/pedals. No combination action. Flat straight pedalboard.

Notes

  • According to the article in the 2007 Organ Atlas, the organ was relocated from its original home in Indianapolis without changes by Goulding & Wood in 1999. The original hand-pumping mechanism was retained. (James Cook. July 15, 2007)
  • Updated through online information from Timothy E. Conyers. -- The original pump handle mechanism is still in place and located on the left side of the case near the rear. It may still function as there is no visible electrical switch anywhere on the keydesk. The pipe facade stenciling is not original and was done by Goulding & Wood when the instrument was moved.
