Notes

  • Identified by Riley Wes Mitchell from information furnished by Casavant Frères, courtesy of Simon Couture. (Database Manager. September 26, 2009)
  • Updated through online information from Jeff Scofield. (Database Manager. March 25, 2010)
  • Updated by William Dunklin, who gave this as the source of the information: Assisted in the organ's removal..

Casavant 3394 utilized a small amount of casework and a set of Deagan type A chimes pitched at A-435 from the church's previous pipe organ, but at present, no details about that instrument have surfaced. In May 2017 the organ was purchased by First Christian Church, Bowling Green, Kentucky. It was removed from the now-closed United Presbyterian Church, Shawnee, and put in storage in Knoxville Tennessee by B. Rule & Company. B. Rule will renovate the organ for First Christian beginning in 2018. On its removal, the Casavant was in good playing condition. (Database Manager. May 17, 2017)
  • The last service was held on 23 August 2015; the congregation was down to 35 members; the building is now used by Frontline Church, Shawnee; the organ was removed in May 2017 by the American Organ Institute. (Jeff Scofield. July 6, 2018)
