Technical Details

Slider chests with EP pull-downs (externally mounted).

Two manuals. 3 divisions. 20 stops. 18 registers. 18 ranks. 1060 pipes. Manual compass is 61 notes. Pedal compass is 30 notes.

The organ is in side chambers at the front of the room, with visible façade pipes or case front.

Combination Action: Fixed mechanical system.

  • Updated through online information from Jeff Scofield. -- "All the pipes of the present organ that can be inserted in the new one will be used, after being well repaired; present case will also be used as it is, no decoration nor any revarnishing." Nearly destroyed by the December 1917 Halifax Harbour explosion; replaced in 1919 by duplicate Casavant Op. 770; destroyed by fire on June 2, 1994, and replaced in 2002 by Létourneau Op. 76.
