Technical Details

  • This entry describes a new home for an organ that was relocated without either tonal or mechanical changes.
Identified by James R. Stettner, listing conversations with this person as the source of the information: Current Cathedral organist, Donald Fellows.
The transplanted Kimball lasted into the 1950's. It was to have been replaced by an Aeolian-Skinner, but G. Donald Harrison's death, related delays, and an increased cost caused the Cathedral to cancel the contract. Subsequent disposition of the Kimball is not presently known. (Database Manager.
