  • This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
    Identified by Steven Bartley, citing information from this publication: Lancaster Intelligencer, PA Jan 31, 1854 pg2.
    Lengthy article, including specification of the instrument, and some details.
    Gothic case, front pipes richly gilt. Twelve stops on Great - 54 keys, Seven stops on Swell 54 keys (Choir bass CC-f) 8 stopped diapason & 4 principal; Pedal 18 keys & 4 stops;Gt/Ped, Sw/Gt. In 1881, a new larger church was built, on the ground just to the west of the old Stone church. (as per church web site history) (Database Manager. August 3, 2019)
