Richard Geddes was born in 1942 in Winsted, Connecticut; son of Richard Geddes, Sr.; graduate of Bradley University; apprentice with Klais Orgelbauanstalt of Bonn, Germany; with father's firm in Winsted, Connecticut; succeeded his father as head of Geddes Pipe Organs of Austin, Texas; active in 1989–1995.
