With Roosevelt firm of New York City, New Yorker, 1886, pipemaker; with Farrand & Votey of Detroit, Michigan; partner with August R. Schopp in Gutfleisch & Schopp of Roselle, New Jersey, 1898; firm relocated to Alliance, Ohio, c. 1900.
