Born in Eureka, Kansas, attended University of Kansas and American Conservatory, Chicago, Illinois; studied organ with Marcel Dupré; theatre organist in Kansas and later in New York City, New York; organbuilder with Estey Organ Co. of Brattleboro, Vermont; established Organ Loft of Short Falls (Epsom), New Hampshire, 1950; partner in Hale & Alexander of Short Falls, c. 1961; died February 9, 1987, age 89; shop acquired by Jeremy Cooper.
