The partnership of Clyde M. Balcom, Ernest L. Vaughan and J. Riley Chase of Seattle, Washington, lasting for 5 weeks c. 1930 must be a record for short-lived partnerships among organ builders. The two original partners returned the firm to its previous form of Balcom & Vaughan which continued for another 40 years.
