Charles E. Kegg began his organ building career with Schantz Organ Co. of Orrville, Ohio, working as an installer. He was then with Casavant Frères Ltée. of Saint- Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada, as an installer. He was with A. R. Schopp & Sons Inc. of Alliance, Ohio, from 1988 as general manager; until starting his own firm, Kegg Pipe Organ Builders of Canton, Ohio in 1995.
