Native of Washington, DC, area; brother of Edgar B. Newcomer, husband of Irma J. Newcomer; with his brother in Heckman-Newcomer firm of Charlotte, North Carolina, 1930s; established Newcomer Organ Co. of Washington, DC, 1939, with his brother; sold the firm to George Payne, 1983.
