Samuel S. Peebles attended Ohio State University at Columbus; he was with radio station WOSU. He became partner with Michael B. Herzog in Peebles-Herzog Organ Co. service firm of Columbus, Ohio, in January, 1974. He was the organist/choir director at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church on the campus of Ohio State, a position he assumed while a student and which he retained for his entire career, almost twenty years. He died February 20, 1992.
