From the OHS Database Builders Listing editor, October 16, 2016. —
Frank Beman (1853-1919?) established his firm in Binghamton, New York, in 1884; he incorporated the firm in 1913. In 1916, he established Beman Symphonie Orchestra Co. of Binghamton, New York, it is unclear if this was a name change to the company, a separate enterprise, or simply an alternate nameplate used for theater organs; at any rate by 1919 the company was known as Frank Beman & Son; which was succeeded by Beman Organ Co. the same year.
