From the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North American Organbuilders, by David H. Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). -

Born January, 1860 in Louisville, Kentucky; son of Joseph C. Prante, brother of August F. Prante, father of Joseph F. and Charles E. Prante; piano tuner in Chillicothe, Ohio, organbuilder by c. 1900; briefly partner with Vinton M. Goodrich in Prante & Goodrich of Covington, Ohio, c. 1900; operated Prante Organ Co. of Chillicothe, Ohio, c. 1902-1905; in Covington, Kentucky, by 1910; died (c. 1913?) in Covington, Kentucky.

Patent #733,917; July 14, 1903; player action.
