Note from the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North American Organbuilders, by David H. Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). -

Born October 27, 1847 in New York City, New York; brother of Hilborne L. Roosevelt and Frank Roosevelt; attended Troy Polytechnic Institute of Troy, New York; businessman; briefly partner with Hilborne in Roosevelt Brothers Batteries, Champion Electric Burglar Alarm Co., and possibly Roosevelt organ firm of New York City; moved to Paris, France by 1877; died February 15, 1892.
