Edison served as tonal director sometime prior to 1947. His nephew John (son of Victor) became tonal director in 1947, his obituary notes that the position had been held previously by his uncle Edison, but there may have been others in the interim.

Son of Abraham Schantz (founder of Schantz Organ Co.), brother of Victor and Oliver Schantz; with Schantz Organ Co. of Orrville, Ohio from 1892, died June 25, 1974, age 96.
