From the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North America Organ Builders by David H. Fox (Organ Historical Society, 1991). -- Born 23 Aug. 1884 in Hayes Valley; son of Felix F. Schoenstein, brother of Erwin A., Leo F., and Otto H. Schoenstein, father of Lawrence and Vincent Schoenstein; with his father's firm in San Francisco, California, 1898; with Ernest Skinner firm of Dorchester, Massachusetts in New York City, New York, 1907-Apr. 1909; returned to his father's firm; retired 1962; died May 15, 1980 in San Francisco, California.
