Art History and graduate work, Ohio State University; associated with Homer Blanchard of Delaware, Ohio, around 1971 and briefly as employee; active in Detroit, Michigan, 1970s, service and rebuilding; Director of Detroit Historic Designation Advisory Board from 1977; active in both activities, 1991.
