Merle L. Bowders was employed at the Moller Pipe Organ Co. of Hagerstown, Maryland for 52 years. He worked in the console department and was a master builder of Moller's electro-pneumatic switches.
Born January 1, 1909, in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Daniel and Minnie Bowman Bowders. He married Gladys V. Wallech on May 18, 1929, they were married for 67 years. Mrs. Bowders passed away November 21, 1996.
Their son, Albert D. Bowders, operated a service firm in Baltimore for nearly 40 years.
Merle L. Bowders died Saturday, June 11, 2005, in Quincy, Pennsylvania at age 96.
