A .pdf church history document linked from the parish website states, "On March 22, 1898 a meeting was held and over $1,000 was raised for a new pipe organ. It was a first class instrument with about 400 pipes and was produced by Hook & Hastings. Col. L. G. McKnight presided at the meeting." The last service at the North Main Street church is held December 29, 1907. The next church is completed in 1909, and the first service is held February 1.
