Updated through on-line information from James Hale. -- The instrument was rebuilt in 1970 by Karl Wilhelm while he building another organ in Montpelier. At that he replaced the Dulciana with a 2' princial down to the common bass octave. More recently his pipes have been removed and the old ones restored. He had stored them on top of the swell. He was not that happy at altering an historical organ. The organ in now in good shape, but the future of the church building is somewhat in question. The current female priest wants to shut it down and convert to some other use.
Identified from company publications as edited and expanded in The Hook Opus List 1829-1935, ed. William T. Van Pelt (Organ Historical Society, 1991).
