Database Manager on September 12, 2016:

Updated through online information from steve bartley.
In the 1980s or early 90s , during a winter break the chapel suffered from several days of steam saturation due to a broken steam heating pipe. The organ, at that time was in very poor condition, due to age, but otherwise restorable. After the steam bath, little worked and much of the wood had warped. The college officials always expressed an interest in restoration, but could never raise the funds.
