Paul R. Marchesano on February 08, 2022:

The 1933 building called for a larger instrument, which the Votteler-HoltkampSparling Organ Co. built, incorporating the Felgemaker pipes in the new scheme, but "on the basis of a new organ rather than a rebuilding of the old organ." The builders proposed that "The pipes of the old Felgemaker organ would be taken to our shop and worked into the new organ strictly according to the requirements of the new organ. Scales and forms of certain pipes will be altered or changed to fit them to their new functions." Walter Holtkamp signed the contract on behalf of the builders. -- 1995 OHS Handbook
