Updated by William Weber, who has heard or played the organ.
This organ had been described to me as being heavy to play, which I had dismissed as characteristic of mechanical action. Recently I looked inside it behind the facade pipes and saw the tallest are to the right, shortest to the left, implying a roller board to reverse the order of keys to that of the pipes, hence heavy to play if nor perfectly regulated.
