The organ was originally built in 1974 for St. Paul resident Gary Thomas. When Thomas died in 2019, he bequeathed the organ to a friend of his named Bill Muldoon, who was a College of Saint Benedict chemistry professor. Muldoon decided to donate the instrument to the College of Saint Benedict, where it was relocated to by local organ builder Russell Draeger in 2020. It is currently used as a practice organ in the Benedicta Arts Center.
