From The Kingston Daily News (December 23, 1876): "Today there was fixed up in the Baptist Church a new organ, posessing for its size a very fine tone. The instrument is a chancel organ, and was built by Messrs. Warren & Son of Montreal, being procured through Mr. John Reyner. The following is a description. Height, 10 ft., 6 in.; depth 3 ft 6 in.; width 6 ft. It has two manual, an octave and a half of pedals, andd 150 pipes, with the following stops: Great Organ--Open Diapason, stopped diapason (treble), stopped diapason (bass), principal bass, and flute. Swell Organ--Viol de gamba, tremolo, and swell organ. It will be played at the service tomorrow."
