NOTES
The organ was originally built for the congregation's previous edifice on Main Street
where it resided at the front of the church. In the new edifice it is located in the
rear gallery. The organ remains as originally constructed: free-standing and encased
with an attached and projecting keydesk, and drawknob stops in terraced jambs on
either side of the manuals. The façade pipes – once brightly stenciled in yellow,
orange, red, and gold – are now repainted a flat, tan color.
The Great has only one tonal change: the 4' Chimney Flute replaced the original 3'
Twelfth. But the Swell has only three original stops: 8' Stopped Diapason, 8' Viola,
and 8' Oboe/Bassoon. All of the other stops were new to this organ at the time of the
rebuilding, though some are made from previous original pipework.
