In 1983 this organ suffered an electrical fire in the console that rendered it
completely unplayable. An Allen digitial instrument was brought in as a
"temporary" replacement. Although some pipes were removed or relocated to make
room for speakers, most of the pipework is still in place. The console was
removed to storage.
