Schantz Contract #2302 2010
This contract involves the cleaning, pipe restoration/
rebuilding and tonal regulation of portions (Great,
Positive, Bombarde and Pedal) of Æolian-Skinner
Op. 1174. This instrument suffered the collapse of the
chamber (plaster-on-lathe) ceiling. In cases where
existing pipework is damaged beyond repair, replica
pipework will be fabricated utilizing Æolian-Skinner
pipe metal composition, construction and marking
techniques. Voicing techniques and methodology applied
to the Indianapolis (A-S Op. 1490) and Fort Wayne
(Op. 1171-B) projects should be utilized in this
instance. The remainder of the organ (Swell, Choir and
Gallery) and its console remain on site.
