Möller Op. 8561 1954 3/38
For acoustical reasons, when the organ is not being played,
it is desirable to have the organ chambers supply a maximum
of hard, reflective area for recitals on the auditorium
stage. The two enclosed divisions, the Swell and Choir,
are, therefore, to be located across the entire rear of the
chamber area, and are to be installed with hard-surfaced
shutters, the same to close automatically when the organ is
turned off, so that these chambers will supply a smooth,
close-fitting wall or "sounding board" across the entire
area. The Great and Pedal divisions are to be located in
the area in front of the Swell and Choir sections. (This
calls for the organbuilder to be responsible for the close-
fitting wall or sounding board across the entire grill area.)
