NOTES
The organ was installed in concrete chambers in the front gallery. The Great was lower
left with the Choir overhead in upper left. The Swell occupied both lower right and upper
right. The Solo was perpendicular to the front wall chambers and on the left side speaking
across the choir loft. The console was at the edge of the gallery rail behind a modesty
screen with the organist facing the choir.
The organ was installed by E.V. Clarke, Victor Zuck, and S.T. Anderson of M.P. Möller. The
organ was dedicated on Sunday, June 9, 1929 at 3:00 p.m. by Warren D. Allen of Standford
University. The recital included works by J.S. Bach, Alexander Russell, Louis Vierne,
Richard Wagner, Joseph W. Clokey, Theodore Dubois, Camille Saint-Saëns, Seth Bingham, an
old Negro spiritual (Deep River), and César Franck.
