Technical Details

  • Identified through information adapted from E. M. Skinner/Aeolian-Skinner Opus List, by Sand Lawn and Allen Kinzey (Organ Historical Society, 1997), and included here through the kind permission of Sand Lawn:
Gone; included agreement for work on the Gallery organ as #152-C, 1909. (Database Manager. November 20, 2005)
  • From the NYC AGO NYC Organ Project: In 1907, the Ernest M. Skinner Company rebuilt the 1876 Roosevelt organ in the Chantry. The organ was installed in a newly constructed shallow chamber with the Swell below the opening and the Great and Pedal above and behind the opening. Skinner retained the Roosevelt case as a facade above the two-manual console that was built into the case. It seems likely that Skinner replaced the original windchests with his company's electro-pneumatic chests. (Jeff Scofield. December 13, 2019)
