Paul W. Gunzelmann graduated from Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park, New York and Princeton College, Princeton, New Jersey (class of 1958). At Princeton, he majored in German with a bridge in music. While at Princeton, he was director of the Handbell Choir for three years and was also an organist at the Presbyterian Church in Hopewell, New .Jersey. After college he was awarded a Fulbright scholarship and studied in Germany.
He spent most of his life as an organ builder, he was president of Gunzelmann Organ Builders in Columbus, Ohio. Most recently, he was organist at St. Paul-s Episcopal Church in Chillicothe, Ohio. Paul W. Gunzelmann died February 2, 2013, in Chillicothe, Ohio.
