Born October 19, 1824 in East Medway, Massachusetts ; son of George Handel Holbrook, father of Edwin Handel Holbrook; music teacher in Bridgeport, Connecticut; continued his father's firm of Holbrook & Ware, 1850-1890s; retired 1890s; the firm was last listed in 1904; Holbrook died in 1904 in Millis, Massachusetts .
