Born in St. Martin, Québec, Canada; (possibly son of Horace Lahaise), he was the father of Edward Lahaise and Henri Lahaise. He was with Hook & Hastings of Boston, Massachusetts, by 1880. He retired in 1934; and died September, 1949 in Boston, Massachusetts, at age 98.
