Studied organ at Concordia College, St. Paul with Paul Manz. Transferred to the University of Minnesota to complete a degree in organ performance under Heinrich Fleischer. Formed Justin Organ Pipes in St. Paul, Minnesota, which later became Matters, Inc., a general organ supply company. Purchased Schlicker Organ Company in 1992 and merged his firm into Schlicker.
