William P. Oberg Jr. — Born 1947 in Illinois, died 1982 in West Memphis, Arkansas. Teacher in Lexington, Tennessee and West Memphis, Arkansas.

Theatre Organ buff, responsible for the restoration and revival of the Wurlitzer theatre organ in the Malco/Orpheum theatre in Memphis, Tennessee, beginning in 1969, and much work on the Kimball concert organ formerly installed in the Ellis Auditorium in Memphis.1 Rebuilt and moved organ from Hays Avenue Methodist Church, Jackson, Tennessee to the new sanctuary for the congregation, the church was renamed Aldersgate United Methodist when the move was made.2
