Houston, Texas, 1973-1999; (became Visser & Associates, Tomball Texas, 1999.)
Visser-Rowland Associates (1973-1999), original name of the firm which became Visser & Associates of Tomball, Texas, in 1999.
Visser-Rowland Associates was established by Pieter Visser, Jan R. Rowland, and S. H. Dembinsky in Houston, Texas, in 1973. The firm was part of the organ reform movement which saw a return to mechanical key-action instruments, and a tonal design based on North European organs of the 17th century.
Rowland left the firm in 1986, but the name remained the same until 1999 when it was changed to Visser & Assoc. and the shop moved to Tomball, Texas.
