Clarence Eddy Wirsching was the son of Philipp Wirsching; he was with his father's firm in Salem, Ohio; he acquired the firm with Eugene Binder as Wirsching-Binder Organ Co., in 1914. The elder Wirsching stayed on with the new company as shop superintendent.

Because they were underfunded, Binder and Wirsching issued stock, with half the shares going to a new partner, Leonard Peloubet. For the new company stock, Wirsching was to bring the assets of the shop, and Peloubet was to provided cash. Peloubet failed to provide the money, and Peloubet sold his shares to M. P. Möller of Hagerstown, Maryland. After Moller acquired additional shares, and thus controlling interest in the small firm, the Maryland firm promptly closed the Ohio firm.
