Curtis Bobsin began his organ-building career in Louisville, Kentucky in the early 1990-s with Miller Pipe Organ Co. In 2003, he started a freelance career and began collaborating with other builders. In 2006, he established his own firm, C. Bobsin Organbuilder, in San Antonio, Texas.

From 2010 to 2013, he also operated Miller Pipe Organ Company and its subsidiary, Miller Custom Woodworking in Louisville, Kentucky. Parting with Miller Pipe Organ in 2013, he returned to Texas full time to concentrate on his business there. In May of 2016, he took on the additional duties of president of Southwest Sound & Electronics, a comercial audio visual contractor located in San Antonio.

In September of 2016, Bobsin began a partnership with Mark Fischer, owner and operator of Fischer Pipe Organ Co. of Erie, Ohio. Fischer merged his firm with Bobsin, relocated to Texas, and became general manager of C. Bobsin Organbuilder.
