Establish by Jacob Estey as a reed organ manufacturer in Brattleboro, Vermont, beginning 1852. The name was changed to Estey Organ Co. in

Began making pipe organs in 1901. Ceased all manufacturing in 1960. Fletcher Music Centers, Clearwater Florida, purchased the Estey Organ company name in 1989, and continued to operate selling electronic instruments through the 1990s.
