Update from John F. Wiley, received December 25, 2008: "Usually a three to four man shop. In the 1970s Ronald Yeater voiced most of the pipes in Mr. Layton's organs. I also worked as his employee 1980 through 1981. The sound of his organs did follow the trends of the times, although in sound they were never too 'thin' nor were mixtures overly bright. The firm also remodeled and 'rebuilt' many organs in the Colorado region."
