Phillip Parkey & Associates (formerly Southeastern Organ Services) was founded in 1987 in Asheville, North Carolina. The initial operation consisted of pipe organ maintenance and service. In 1989, the company relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and in 1995 the name was changed to Parkey Organbuilders and operations were expanded beyond service to encompass the full range of organ design, construction and installation.

The firm builds electrical key-action instruments primarily in a modified 'American Classic' style, with a strong emphasis on choral accompaniment. Most of its new instrument installations are in Georgia and North Carolina, but the firm has instruments throughout the southeastern United States.
