Fred Betts was added to the Database based on information from David Jackson for Organ ID=50022. Betts altered an organ by William King of Elmira, New York, installed in SS. Peter & Paul R.C. Church of Elmira.

Betts is also mentioned in the entry for Richard Strauss (Builder ID=5976). David Fox states Strauss was with Betts, the time period is not stated, but appears to be 1950s, as Strauss was working on his own by the 1960s. Strauss was working in Ithaca, New York, so Betts may have also been, as the only instrument that we have listed for Betts is in Elmira, it seems likely that he was based somewhere in western New York state.
