In 1977 Walter Bradford established Prairie Organ Company of Evanston, Illinois, which he incorporated (together with Ron Damholt) in 1981, changing its name to Bradford Organ Company in 1986. Specializing in mechanical action instruments, the company built, restored and maintained pipe organs.
