"From Pychon St. Methodist (later Trinity), Springfield, MA in 1871. Moved 2002 to Allen Langord garage, Hadley, MA. 1844 date is on nameplate. Altered. Mixture [more likely a reed] and reed [ Hautbois] replaced by strings before 1957. Poor condition in 1996. Not on Hook list. No evidence of any Mixture is evident, either from anything remaining, or examining chest toe & rack boards; [Allen Langord, Sep 2002] This organ doesn't appear on the later numbered lists, but it DOES appear on the very earliest (unnumbered) one, for Pynchon St. (later Trinity) Methodist in Springfield, MA. It was moved in 1871 to the Universalist (not Unitarian) church in Shelburne Falls, which building later was owned by the Baptists and presently the Masons, who moved the organ from another location in the room to the back corner (and lowered the case top and swellbox when they lowered the ceiling there). [Barbara Owen, Sep 2002]"
